Open Source Experience Paris 2023

This is the main annual open source software event in France where a large part of the ecosystem is represented to promote innovation and meet the demands of technical and business users.
OW2 will have a booth there to showcase the NGI Search project, mention the status of the open calls and provide details to potential candidates.
Also, several OW2 open source members will demostrate their latest features on the community stand or on their own booth nearby.

Ethics in Search
At NGI Forum 2023, the panel Ethics in (NGI) search addressed not only the problems of contemporary internet search, namely Google, but forthcoming Open Source alternatives. The panel’s moderator, Mirko Presser (Aarhus University), first introduced a couple of projects funded by NGI search. HeReFaNMi (Health-Related Fake News Mitigation) combats the propagation of fake news within health-related information and attempts to restore trustworthiness to the internet community. SVP64 takes existing search algorithms and optimises a Vector ISA (at the hardware level) to increase energy efficiency.

The Open Search Foundation is preparing the 5th Open Search Symposium bringing together the Open Internet Search community in Europe.
