NGI Search funded project: Search-a-Licious (Open Food Facts)
Speaker: Alex Garel

Search-a-licious is the future Open Food Facts search engine: built upon open source libraries, with faceted search and ready to use widgets and SDK, it is designed in a generic way to be usable on any open dataset, and easy to deploy - so you can use it to power your own search engine!

Alex Garel is an early adopter of Linux and Python. He worked in different SMEs always promoting Open Source software and contribution to the eco-system. Although mainly a developper and tech lead, he always participated in a lot of tasks: from marketing or scrum master to machine learning or system administration. He joined Open Food Facts 18 months ago, where he also participates in a wide variety of tasks on software and community animation.
