NGI Search at OSXP 2022 Press Release
NGI Search supports the development of open source online search tools with funding of up
to €150,000 and ten key services during one year
The design and contextual usages of innovative web search tools are encouraged by the five partners
of the NGI Search project supported by the European Commission.
Paris, 8 November 2022 – OW2, the international community of open source software for information systems showcasing at OSXP 2022 (booth #C16), is proud to support the next tools that can change the way we search, discover and use data and resources in general on the internet and the web.
Applicants can be entrepreneurs, developers, SMEs, research or academic organisations, non-profit organisations that develop innovative solutions to improve privacy and security for users seeking information and resources on the internet. Total funding from NGI Search is €6.8 million.

First Advisory Board Meeting

A first exchange session with three prominent members of the NGI Search Advisory Board and the project partners took place via the open source web conferencing system Jitsi. The advisors contributed their academic, SDO and industrial expertise. From then on, the collaborative work began on both continents, on both sides of the Atlantic.

Pierre-Yves Gibello, CEO of OW2 referred to NGI Search cascade funding project while presenting European open source innovation incentives where the OW2 open source association is involved.
EUCLIDIA fosters innovation in the European cloud space, specifically for the supply and operation of cloud infrastructures. The association is dedicated to promote the opportunity in creating a strong ecosystem and SME-friendly environment in the European cloud sector. The European Cloud Industrial Alliance is made up of SMEs and associations active in the open cloud industry and majority owned by European-based shareholders

FIWARE Global Summit 2022

David Seoane and Mayte Carracedo from FundingBox (NGI4ALL.E partners) presented NGI Search cascade funding project among the next NGI funding opportunities during the 8th FIWARE Global Summit. They explained how to apply, and how to make the most of the NGI online community during the Business & Funding Opportunities session, on 15 September 2022, 3:00pm–6:00pm.
